My friend got a ticket not to long ago and was curious if those ticket fixers are worth it. His ticket was for 135 and then its gonna cost him another 35 for traffic school so he is better for just doing it on his own or going to one of the places. Have any of u actually used one or know of a good one?

I know my friends all use prepaid legal with pretty good success, and I know people that have used various random legal services from the yellow pages. All of them have managed to get tickets down to usually non-moving violations. It may cost a bit, but it's worth it (in my view at least) to not have the points on your license.

Call and ask. I know prepaid legal is like, $20/mo., and I believe most of those lawyers that specialize in small tickets, etc., usually charge $100 or so??

I think you misunderstood :)
Prepaid legal is a service that you pay $20/mo. for. If you ever get a ticket you just send it in to them and they plead it down to (usually) a non-moving violation, so you just have to pay the cost of the ticket (which varies of course), but you get no points. they don't charge anything other than the monthly fee (at least to my knowledge). They also can act as a regular legal service for anything you may have, and they charge for that. I believe the ticket service is covered in the monthly fee however.
If you're interested in joining, I can get the info from a few of my friends.
