why is this setup better than the stock sr one?

It was the only place I had room to mount the coils. They are pretty big and I really didn't want to start drilling holes through the firewall. Yes these are way better than the stock sr coils. Each ls1 coil has its own ignitor and the
ls1 owners upgrade to these coils instead of using msd. These coils are good for 150hp/cylinder and most ls1 guys will make 800+ on these stock coils. But you have to have a stand alone ecu in order to change the dwell setting and charge times.
