Well, as many of you know my reasoning behind possibly building a miata was because I was interested in getting into wheel-to-wheel racing in addition to having a track car, and the NASA / SCCA spec miata class is a good way to do it.
I knew I could run a 240sx in SCCA improved touring, but only with a KA24, and then there were just way too many rules (as with all SCCA classes) to make it fun.
I just found out something interesting....the NASA SE-R cup (intended for B13/B14/B15 sentra's) has two classes, SR and SRX (basically a near-stock, and an "extreme" class). Turns out that in the SRX class you can run ANY chassis that originally came with an SR20 engine, which means I can run an SR20DET powered S chassis. Add to it the only real rules are no tube frames, 10" wide wheels max, and that's about it and it sounds like a great idea :)
hmmm....food for thought ;)
