also for those that dont have the controller. i know of an easier way to setup a makeshift lazy eye.
needed tools/items:
ratchet and 10mm socket
screwdriver
wirecrimps
a regular on/off switch
about 10 feet of 18 gauge electrical wire
drill with bit big enough for you to drill a hole and stick the switch through.
electrical tape(i recommend 3M)
procedure: (should take about 30 min)
disconnect the ground on the battery(dont need any shocks or elec problems)
take off the panel below the steering wheel.
then pull out the POP-UP switch and disconnect the wiring from the switch.
next cut the green wire that is in that bundle of wires.
decide where you want the switch to be and drill a hole there to mount it.
now run 2 wires(one from both terminals on the switch) to each end of the green wire that you just cut.
splice in the those two wires on the ends of the green wire.
now wrap some elec tape around all the connections to make sure nothing touches and gives it a bit more strength.
hide all the wires and put everything back to normal.
operation:
make sure the switch is in the ON position.
push the pop up switch and make the lights pop up.
now push it again and when the lights are half way down flip the new switch.
it basically shuts off the motors and the lights stop at the instant you flip the switch.
flip thw switch again and they will go down.
the lights work like normal and override the switch no matter what position its in.
ive done this to my friends car and it works good.

cool man... that's real creative! I wish I knew this before I got my controller eventho it was only like $50...
finally got mine done this morning.. wasn't hard but you have to locate all these wires and it's in bad spot around alarm wires...
thanx again..

on another note, on my S14, you can turn on one headlight at a time by slowly twisting the knob and hitting only one of the electrical points that causes the headlights to turn on. yeah i know its not lazy eyes or anything, but i just wanted to say that S14 guys like myself can have lame trick too, go blind on one side! hah..
