my car finally gave me a clue as to the weird idle problem. Leaky fuel injector code. Anyone know if i should have the injectors cleaned by RC engineering (http://www.rceng.com/) or just get a new set of OEM ones?

injectors are pricy, meyers imports sells stock ones for around 68 a peice. before you go in and spend that kind of money tear the fuel injects off and replace the o rings. it might be that and not the injectors them self. if they both are bad then just replace them but it will cost you thats for sure.

Excellent idea on jesse's part. I'd replace the o-rings first. Cheap and very easy. If that doesn't fix it up, just start looking on the various forums for stock injectors. I think Rolan may have a set from JJ's old single cam engine.

ive got a set, or 2. and RC engineering re-jets them for about 30 each. about half of new ones. just wondering if anyone has any experiences buying oem vs cleaning/re-jetting.

i dont understand why anyone would "re jet" them. how many miles are on your injects? if they are stock injects it makes no sence to clean them just buy new ones. before anything check your o rings first.of theres any cracks in the rings there your problem. every ecu trips in the same way and the smallest thing could cause the sensor to throw the code.

O-RINGS FIRST THEN IF ALL ELSE FAILS NEW OEM INJECTS!!!

there are other ways but you will be wasting money in my opinion.

I'm a newb here, but I thought I'd chime in. My SR20 had a leaky injector and I had RC clean and flow some extras I had laying around. I was very happy with their service. Quick turn around in my case (I've heard they can take awhile) and they include a stat sheet with your beginning and ending flow rates. All for something like $30/injector. Just a note, they charge more for side-feed injectors than top-feeds.
Just my $0.02 on thier service,
Ryan
