stainless lines wil rub through more than just paint. regardless of where you put the can, how you run the line will make all the difference, or just dont use steel braided alltogether.
but i dont get it.are you looking for "opinions" on your engine bay but then tell us that we cant paint?
personally im a big fan of prepwork aka, removing a ton of stuff/ and masking so that there isnt overspray on everything.its less work in the long run anyway.
but given how it was done i guess it turned out alright.
honestly i think with more prep and a different color it would look 100 times better (like white, black, grey, basically any color that is less transparent and would cover more easily). also with these colors it would be less noticable that it isnt a 2stage finish as they have a tendency to have more of a shine/cleaner look to them.
