My Car == Going, Going, Gone?

Well, as most of you know I always have had my car "up for sale" if the right offer came along. The full details of the car as it sits are on my web page, www.saskin.net/~matt/s13 (http://www.saskin.net/~matt/s13).

Low and behold I get a call today from someone up in Portland. Turns out he saw my web page through NICO, has been looking at buying an already built car, and wants mine. We discuss the car for about 25 minutes or so, I tell him about all the little things (cracked dash, small dents, etc...). Long story short, he agrees to my asking price :blink:

Brian (the guy from portland) will be out here in vegas on friday at about 1030am or so. We'll do all the paperwork, go to the bank, then DMV so he can get a transit tag, and just like that, my car is gone with the wind.

I suppose I should be a bit sad, and I am, hell, I've put god knows how much time into that car. On the other hand, it's real hard to have a car just sit doing nothing for 3 months...you really just lose interest in it. I'm sure I'll miss it, but it's been fun, and there will always be other projects.

For the time being I'm sticking w/ the truck. Come spring time I'll begin working on another project. Exactly what, I'm not sure. Any suggestions???

The long list of possibilities:
Turbo mustang (stupid fast + can handle well for road course stuff)
Grand National (stupid fast, end of story)
GMC Typhoon/Syclone
C4 Vette (never driven one, really want to see how they handle)
Something else???

that car was a good car. new project, i think its time.

lifted trucks own your ass. its an aquired taste but 8 in. lift plus 36+ tire size woot. whole nother ball game.

i started getting that taste. 22s are quite the sexy in my book also. lol. we will see what happens in the coming month on my part. got plans ya know how it is but shit might fall through always need something to fall back on.

The diesel will be getting a few mods; exhaust, gauges, stereo, but that's it. I'd love to lift it, but honestly, the lift will
a) making towing a complete bitch
B) kill fuel economy
c) i'd rather save the money towards something else

I've got so many choices, I'm just not sure what I want to get. Either way, I've got many months to decide :)

As for a supra...I've thought about it. I don't think at this time I'm ready to get into what would be such a long term, expensive project. To do a MKIV, or a GTE swapped SC300 or GS300 is easily going to be $40K+ long term thing because fact it, you can't build up a supra (or similar) unless you go balls to the wall fast as well as make it clean as hell. polished everything, show car type stuff :)

No way. If, and that's a real big if, I get another 240, it'll be a built KA-T. I have no desire for another SR nor an RB.

Even if I could afford it, I have no interest in a skyline.

$80K for a used legalized R34 GT-R, or the same price for a used Porsche 996 Turbo which is faster, handles better, looks better. Granted, it's not Whoa-JdM-TyTE-y0!!!, but whatever.

I'll be the first to admit it's real tough having a project just sit for 3 months and not lose some interest in it. Now that it's up and running fine, I'm just kind of bored and not too interested in driving it. I guess I just got burned out after waiting such a long time.

A new project will come along soon enough.
