Does the speed sensor read the rpm? Just wondering my tach doens't display either rpm or speed so i assume it's that. and yes i have a silvia cluster

Nope, speed sensor is for speed only.

RPM's are sent to the cluster via Pin 3 of the ECU (at least on the SR20). Same deal with the KA, just a different pin.
