Car belongs to chris forsberg. I saw it at a drift event back in New Jersey last year sometime.
Kinda cool project, but I'd say it's an overall waste of money. Hell, spend the same amount of cash, twin turbo the VQ35DE, and you've got a way more powerful engine.

chris blew up the VQ awhile back. even tho he was driving for Signal at the time they didn't do anything for him. the SR he paid for out of pocket and all the work put in to that Z was done by him and tony.

Was he by any chance running a supercharger on his VQ before going to the SR??
If so, I saw him at two events, one without stickers on the car (just the silver 350z w/ a stillen [???] body kit) and a blower.

the SR compared the VQ (if you turbo the VQ) is a much more reliable engine turbo to turbo...yes the VQ will make better numbers...but its bottom end isnt as reinforced as the SRs is...not trying to discredit the VQ as i have seem them put down awesome numbers...just the VQ hasnt been completely made for turbo yet (im sure nissan might release a turbo version of it someday...but until then nissans from the factory turbo motors still own any nissan NA to turbo convert built motor)

yup it was the same z33 with the supercharger.
the VQ is the better motor NA or FI IMO. its just that the VQ doesn't the following like SRs do and SRs have been proven time and time again. chris is in the business of drifting, not making 1000hp cars. i'm sure with enough time for R&D he can make that VQ just as reliable as an SR but he needed his car running.

Nice...that car looked sick minus all the stickers and with the stillen (or whatever) body kit it had.
Definitely a skilled drifter, and the blown z33 sounds crazy :)
