There isn't, and this car made me wet myself.

Hey Matt. How was the trip? And what did you mean by that post about your turbo anyway? I also got my Ksports. Ummm Yeah, sitting in the garage. One of the stupid bolts would not come out of the first shock tower. POS

hehe...trip was great.

I just reread that thread. You were asking about me dumping (As in getting rid of) my old turbo, I thought you were asking about me running the new turbo open-dumped in reference to the wastegate

Yes, I'll be getting rid of my old turbo. It's sitting on the floor of my garage right now. $200 sound good?

Just let me know.

And the fact that it's a twin turbo small block (domestic or otherwise) makes it about 100x cooler than my car, and about 1000x cooler than your car.

It doesn't matter. When you have 1000+ horsepower in any type of car, you're cooler than everyone else who doesn't have that much power, regardless of whether you can only go in a straight line or not.

eh i guess

it would be more impressive to see him churning out 1000+HP on a SR26det (yes the SR can be made to have 2.6 liters of displacement....new kit in japan that does it)

how much do they have to bore/ stroke it?

Top of my head math leads to this:

Biggest bore you can do on an SR20 even w/ sleeving is approx 89mm, and that's getting into real dangerous territory (i.e.; paper thin cylinder walls. detonate once, kiss your motor bye bye...kinda like a rotary)

Using 89mm bore leaves a 104.5mm stroke necessary to get 2.6liters of total displacement.

That said, why the hell would you ruin a perfectly square motor to begin with. Engineers strive to make a motor perfectly square, and a stock SR20 does it (86mm stroke x 86mm bore). No need to ruin perfection.

dont ask me how its done...its some new kit out in japan...i know here in america ive seen kits to make it a SR24det...so its not impossible...i dont understand why u would want 2.6 liters of displacement coming from a 2 liter motor myself...but hey...someone wants to go for it...then more power to em
