when: 9/13/4 7:00am - 4:00pm
Where: PIR (Phoenix international Raceway)
What: Drifting on Phoenix International Raceway's 1.59 mile roadcourse. You will get a minumum of 4, 20 minute sessions. Given it's on a Monday, don't be suprised if we get more. That's over an hour of solid track time
Who: Anyone who can pay the entry, show up on the 13th and is willing to have some fun. Last time we had 7-8 entries ranging from very experienced to no experience whatsoever and everyone had a great time.
How Much: $129 entry fee (not final), and if you're not a NASA member there is a $35 yearly membership fee as well. A one-year subscription to Grassroot Motorsports is included with the NASA membership.
couple of the formula D folks like Ryan H. will be out there goofing around as well

it doesn't matter. there is both grip and drift run groups running that day.
you can sign up for drift group and grip the course if you like. the drift run group is a lot more lax.
also yes if you are interested contact the az nasa folks.
i'll get the url for you :)

Aha...I see.
In that case I may be coming to run with the NASA HPDE 2 for one day.
Even though I'd get more track time running in the drift group, I have a small feeling that most of the people drifting will get in the way if I'm actually trying to do grip runs.

i assure you that HPDE 1 and 2 will get in your way more then the drift group will. you should run HPDE3 or 4 if you don't run the drift group. passing is allowed any where and the guys are very aggressive.

I've run with NASA HPDE 3+4 groups before...the drivers are usually too agressive for their own good. I've nearly been hit numerous times by people trying to pass in corners and not knowing the proper point to back off if they're trying to overtake...over-agressive (and under-skilled) drivers suck.

that might be but trying to pass a 4-6 car backup sucks donkey balls. if you are trying to do time attacks, you won't even get a clean lap in HPDE1-2

ok the event has been moved to FIR (Firebird International Raceway) rather then PIR and it's on Sunday September 19th
I've already signed up weeks ago. You guys should come down for this. it'll be bad ass.
