I thought I would post up my new project specs. The motor isn't quite ready but I did finish up the wiring harness, driveshaft, hoses, & fuel lines. I still need to finish up the 5-speed swap, exhaust, coolant tank, intercooler assembly, and a little more of the little crap.

This is what it's suppose to look like when it's done (just in a different color)

I'm probably gonna go with a custom downpipe & a used exhaust system so if you have a 3" exhaust system give me a good deal on it! I have so much on my "WANTED" list but limited on funds right now since I just started a new job after being jobless for a month money is tight!

I wish I had more time to work on it but I have a mortgage to pay for and I have to work full time. I'm hoping to finish by Thanksgiving, sorry for the crap pictures but that's what I got to work with right now.

I'll do my best, sometimes while I'm working on it I just black out and when I come to parts are connected and shit like that but I'll do my best to keep a log and pictures. I'll update this thread as I progress, I might try doing the body work myself but I'm not sure. Anyone have a sander I can borrow?

*thinking* "hummmm should I ask why"

Why?

I like the kit no matter who makes or puts their name on it, I thought it would match the powerplant perfectly.

Doh! Maybe I should just delete this post.......

It'll be in my garage at all times with my vicious poodle! When I'm driving around town I'm not too worried because my job requires me to drive in my own car, if I have to go to a mall or some sort of shopping center I'll take one of my other two cars.

I don't have it all covered but I'm not gonna let the thought of thieves ruin what I have, if it gets stolen then that's just a part of life blah blah blah. I had my Yamaha R1 stolen from me when I lived in So. California and it hurt a lot but life goes on. I still miss my bike though!

I think I've seen someone posting about that, did he fix that problem? I got hooked up with him when I lived in Cali but if he didn't fix that issue then I understand how you feel, I would be heated as hell!

For the most part he hasn't done me wrong since buying parts for my past projects, he's a little late shipping out the rest of my kit but other than that it's been good.

How much did you pay for the MAFS?

Because I've had a N/A KA w/ NOS, a KA-T and an SR. So now I want to do this......what's it to you?

Unlike a lot of people I like to do my own work and I just like to tinker with different setups from N/A to Turbo just because I love mechanics and learning new and different things. It's not because the RB is soooo cheap (if you call $1500 cheap) it's just something different that I like.

Why SR? Sounds like a a stupid question right? That's how your question sounds to me. Does everyone have to be a critic? We already have to deal with cfinch! LOL

Engine install finished! Drove it around the block a few times!

Now I'm saving up for the Autometer Speed, RPM, fuel, & voltage meter kit

I kept getting discouraged which is why you guys probably saw this project up for sale a few times, I need to bring it to have the exhaust system put together.

Next thing I need to do is the wide body molding and paint.

Clutch grips really nice and better than I expected, I took off the re-circulating pipe/hose and the stock BOV is loud as fuck! I also finally had it towed to a muffler shop to have the exhaust done.......It's a single 3" piece from the turbo to the muffler.

I also fixed the problem I was having with it sounding like a helicopter and it actually still sounds like that just not as bad but from what others with an RB tell me they are suppose to sound like that. When I replaced the bad coil I took it for a spin and it really pushed me back into my seat! I also did a burn out in reverse (LOL) by accident and almost hit my Grand AM! LOL wish I hit that bitch tho!

Thanks guys!

Update..........

Today: Adjusted front stock sway bar....it was making some noises, Sanded off ugly army paint off of the rear trunk bye bye star, finally installed rear D2 coils.

Tomorrow: Installing Greddy TT, Probably gonna mount the rear wide body fenders since they seem simpler than the front.

I'll try to remember to take pics and stuff like that cause when I'm in the zone I tend to forget things. I need to remember to buy some dust masks......

I bought and took over this project from someone else but this is what the engine bay looked like when I began this project...........

We'll it's finished and I can drive it around but the past few weeks I had air leaking out of the stock BOV so that's why I installed the Blitz, I took it over to grappler64s house to check out some parts and when I got home I decided to clean up the engine bay a little, I moved some wires around a little and some how disconnected or shorted out the fuel pump. I'm gonna take the wiring harness a part today to see if I can find what I did. I'm gonna try and get it to the meet tonight.

Did a light tune up today and added some security features............

This project is coming to an end :( ...........possibly trading for a semi stock S13 coupe w/ KA24DE and starting over. I should know if the trade goes through by sometime next week. Going to start a new project but I don't know what powerplant I'll be using, probably the more standard SR swap since aftermarket parts are more readily available and much cheaper.

If the trade doesn't go through I'm still gonna sell or find another person to trade with.

I did reply........you never responded. Next thing I know your posting your car "F/T"

Remember I told you something about if your a/c & p/s were that valuable to you that you should just stick with turbocharging your KA.

I only told you that because it's extremely rare that you'll find a RB 240sx w/ working a/c & p/s or even just one of the two and those two features are what you really wanted.

You could have even kept your deck cause like I told you as gay as it sounds, the BOV & the spooling turbine is the music that I listen to in this car.

For a car like this your gonna have to make some sacrafices and it may be quite a bit of sacrafices but to me the're worth it. (It does help to have another car with working A/C for the days you just can't stand the heat like this weekend!!!!! :righton:

What I ment by ac/ps is that you were looking for a daily driver...

I don't know about you but I consider a DD to be something with PS/AC and very little problems but it can look like a beater for all I care..

When I think DD, I think if it drives, has AC, and gets me to work and back .. it's cool

Now on the other hand, I doubt any swapped car (besides maybe sr20) will ever retain AC/PS...the lines won't match up, it would just be a bitch...I know that, I just ment if you were looking for a daily driver my 240 may have some features that you'd like for driving to work and back (and as I understand it, you drive you car for work...so AC would be a must)

I'd still be interested, just seriously...tell me what else your looking for besides my car for the trade and we will see if I can #1 afford it or #2 accomidate for it.

That's the thing about talking to people on the internet, it's kind of tuff trying to get something said which is why I posted my phone number in my F/S thread.

I don't really even need A/C or P/S I can drive this car through the summer I don't care the heat really doesn't bother me. I also have a 2nd car that I use when I don't feel like driving w/o A/C and in the next few weeks I'm looking at Armada's.

I want to sell it to someone local that will finish up this project so I can see the finished product with my own eyes and even help out a little if problems should come up.

Your car + $2k is an awesome deal
