Allright so basically my 3rd injector went out (again). Now I try and take the injector out like usual and it decides to be a prick and not want to come out. I've tried releasing the fuel pressure through the gas cap and also the fuel pump fuse taken out but it still wont budge. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've tried this method before and it came out but now it just wants to stay. And on top of that I beat the crap outta the top of the injector.... wonderful. Anyways, any ideas? Also, if someone would be cool enough to either look at it tonight at Sonic (I can drive down there) or I can go to their place.

you gotta take out the fuse and crank it so theres no fuel pressure at all.....

I always take them out WITH fuel pressure. I find that it helps push them out. As you get it close to poping out just cover it with a rag. The gas has never sprayed out at me, it just bubbles out for a second and its done. I turn the ignition on and of like 4 -5 times to build pressure behind the injector. If all else fails pull the entire fuel rail off. It doesn't take very long and gives tons of more angles to work on it.

As far as getting them out thats why I get paid the big bucks. You have to apply upward pressure (pry up) and twist at the same time. Not saying its easy but I can pop them out in about a minute everytime now.

Reason #3 keeps going out on you. It could be the o-ring. The base (small) o-ring is a bitch. The rip/tear VERY easy. I have found that if they do rip/tear upon install it takes a week or two to start leaking and then the car starts running on 3 cylinders. I use to think "oh, I must have got a bad injector" I return it and swap it out, just to have it happen again....been there...done that...got the t-shirt. If you are trying to re-use o-rings, don't, go to Nissan and pay the $2. Once you get that injector out look at the o-ring. The slightest bump/uneven surface will cause it to leak.

applying bearing grease to the o-rings before re-installing them will help with not tearing up the o-rings, and since it will dilute when the fuel hits it no worries of anything clogging. Saturated fuel injecotrs suck.
