maybe this topic was discussed in the past...But i was wondering, has anyone inquired how much it would cost to rent out the "Bullring" at LVMS to hold an event...better yet maybe the parking lot?
I noticed there used to be events in the past...How were they accomplised?

Contact the local region SCCA. They have done some autocrosses there. I think its pretty expensive though.

I know for sure that "The Strip" is ~$10,000 for a day.
The bullring runs about $5-6000 for a day.
You are going to need to hire an ambulance and find some insurance. You'll need equipment, cones & stuff. If you set aside like $8000 I would say you would be safe.
So find 75 people that are willing to pay $100+ for a day and you are good to go.
Not saying I agree with these prices but thats LVMS for ya. Remember you are dealing with a place that holds multi-million dollar nascar races. They could care less about your $5000.
There has been talk over the last two years of buying some land, paving it, and doing what we want with it. If you are one of those people please keep the spirit alive....its a damn good idea. Small track of aound .5-1 mile long, a skid pad area, and a small shop area. Make it so its grip/drift friendly, charge a one time fee or get a membership, keep it open 24 hours. There IS an investor out there that will give this a green light.
*NOTE* the following info is second hand info but a good source....
SCCA is no longer dealing/talking to LVMS
Ever since LVMS started ripping off grass roots motorspors enthusiasts I have been boycotting them and not going to any events they host. I think you guys should join the fight with me.
Sure it might not make a big difference to them in the end, but it sure makes me feel better knowing they don't have our support.

Their next autocross is at LVMS in The Bullring parking lot. Now, next year they may not be dealing with LVMS, but I don't think that have planned ahead that far yet.
