Ka Swap

Hey Guys I'm thinkin about doing a Ka swap on my s12 and wanted some info I know you guys might not know about the s12 mechanic wise but you might beable to help me with the Ka motor now to start I know I need the motor the tranny and ecu and wiring harnes but does anybody know about the drive shaft and rearend do you think I would have to modify either of them? Or would they be compatible?
Also I know you guys are prob wondering why am I doing the Ka swap well the ca20e is really a shitty motor perfomance wise and the Ka dohc has more power right off the bat and there's more of an aftermarket for the Ka than the ca thanks in advance for all the help

the rear end should be ok. might have to do a custom driveshaft depending on what the ends are like.

na, you dont have to cut the drive shaft,

if you are gonna do a ka swap with an S12, it would be best to get the KA off a 91-94 S13 (preferably a coupe) the rear end of the S12 and S13 are 98% similar (you might have to double check) it should almost be a plug and play between s12 and s13

how does a KA from a coupe make it different? last time i checked KA24DE's were all the same except for 96+ was OBD2

I could be wrong, it was a while ago when i saw some article in one of the other nissan websites saying that 's13 [coupe] from 91-94' would be best donor car if you wanted to upgrade an S12...but yea i agree all the KA24de's are the same except 96 and up.

Thanks for the info guys does anybody know the stats on the Ka24de like hp and torque? Also this seems like it might be an easy swap. Another thing how big is the aftermarket for the Ka24de I want to put down decent power without braking the bank but I don't need a whole hell of alot of power just good enough to drift and also beable to spank some rice.
