Hey, does anyone here know of a good shop in LV that can do an sr swap on my 240? If they sell the engines too that would be great.
Hope somebody can help.

TREVTEC... dont countless sr20 installs... and the first and only Rb25 and RB26 swaps in vegas
trevtec is quite expenisive....3600 for a sr20 swap =\ i suppose if you have that kind of money.

If you are looking to save money them i recomend you do it yourself. The swap is not that hard to do. And I am sure that you can find some people on this fourm to help you if you have any questions while doing your swap.

SR20s aint cheap...and tretec doesnt do cheap work either...your swap will come out clean and guarateed running...all trevtec SR swaps are done using front clips so you wont be missing anything...trevtec has been the main source for SR swaps in the last year (weve done over 10 in the last 9 months) so i think paying that extra few bucks will be quite worth it to you

i thought it was like 5600. wait that must be for an s14 swap
one of the 2 lol....i just know that its alot...and its not worth the extra money for labor if you can do it yourself with a couple of extra people who tend to get in the way.

theres been alot of problems with total jdm , and you can look at the 240 boards with the horror stories or even the honda boards. i also wanted to go that route, because i mean, i was able to find a whole front clip for 1500-2000, but then you hear of all the horror stories of all the people ordering from the cheaper importers, ie: total jdm/flashoptions, and getting screwed up/non-working motors, because you really never know what kinda crap ure gonna get. then you go look at the better, more reliable importers such as heavy throttle, enjuku, or jgy customs, and come to learn that the average price for the motorset is about 2500 and thats without shipping, which is about 500 dollars, cuz they are all on the east coast. which comes out to 3,000. then you have to account all the startup parts that you are going to be needing, such as fluids/filters etc. which will set you back another 100.00 bringing you up to 3100.00. then you have to factor in the time necessary to do the swap yourself/tools needed. i perosnally went to school and worked fulltime, so i really had no time, so i opted to do it at a shop.which for me , came out cheaper/faster/more reliable.I went with trevtec, because they were the only shop in vegas that had done it before, and also the fact that 90% of the shops in town basically will only do hondas.overall though, its all up to you, if time isnt really of matter, then do it yourself, of course you can get lucky and end up with a good motor from a cheaper place, but thats something i didnt wanna risk. :D
werd i see what you meen its hella expensive. :)...eather way your going to be paying high prices just one allows you to learn more extensively about ones car.

I'm always willing to help out anyone local doing an engine swap, and I'm sure others in the club (james, mando, etc...) would be willing to help out too.
You provide a place to work and food/drinks, and we'll all come running ;)
moral of the story: do it yourself. paying someone to do it is a waste of good mod money.

I am up to help also. I have had mine for over 3 years now. Granted my is a mixture of parts (anyone who knows me knows what I mean) But it HAS been running for 3 years. And I have pretty much come across all sorts of dumb things. Let me know.
