So i think im getting really bad gas milage... if im lucky i get 100 miles to a full tank of gas... I noticed that my #2 injector was leaking but i already fixed that issue and put new seals on it... so i dont see it leeking anywhere... so now im wondering do you think its the spark plugs? fuel filter? o2 sensor? any ideas how to fix this issue.... Also there is no check engine light...

sniff around for leaks, when you usually fill up, does your gas cap make that hiss sound when you remove it? it might help to know that your gas cap is in working condition which woul dkeep gas fumes from leaking from your tank, when you get a smog check, they usually check it. i highly doubt it will limit you to 100 mpg (sil240sxrwd drove without one for a while, didnt effect him that much), but its worth a shot.

maybe you just need a basic tune up, replace your spark plugs, ignition wires, etc. try using some of that injector cleaner or fill up on a gallon or two of 100+ octane fuel (supposedly, it cleans the injectors as well). im sure someone else will be able to follow up after me.

Have you even run through a tank of gas since you replaced the injector? I thought you did this like a day ago? Give it a tank and see if it gets better.

Other then that....

Plugs
Wires
Cap
Rotor
Check Timing
O2 Sensor
Change oil (dirty oil can hurt milage)

Two things that are a little more advanced...
1) Thermostat - if the car never warms up the car will be in 'startup mode' all the time and use WAY more gas.

2) Coolant temp sensor - If the car doesn't know how warm it is it will run in 'startup mode' (this normally turns the check engine light on, but not always)

Does your temp gauge move to half within 5 minutes of starting your car? It should.

Injector cleaner couldn't hurt. But using 100+ octane will cause worse gas milage. It won't even burn. Just go out the tailpipe. You should use the lowest octane your car can run for best milage. If you aren't pushing the car very often 87 is fine.

If all that doesn't help you will need to look deeper.

not sure if this helps...just bragging...

Before turbo - best tank 430 miles (pure expressway, a/c off)

normal - 300 miles 50% street 50% expressway

worst - 180 miles - weeee!!!

After turbo - no road trips yet :(

normal - ~300 miles 50% street 50% expressway

worst - ~180 miles - weeee!!!

No change after turbo :) Good tuning......bad for shooting flames though.....I should richen it up a bit :flamed:

you should have a TON of soot around the exhast pipe and rear bumper if you are spitting unburnt gas out the rear. if you dont, you may have a bad tripmeter/odometer making you think you have bad milage :)

i know for a fact my trip meter just stops at least twice a week for 10-20 miles, then just starts spinning again.

I think i may have a similar problem, and i know everyonce and a while my tank hisses, where can i get a new cap for that?

I would go to the dealer for a good gas cap...the one's from autozone, etc, aren't the greatest.
