Does this combination work rims: Fronts 17x7's 225/ 40/ R17 offset 25 & (Rears) Rims 17x8's 245 / 40/ R17 offset + 20. will this bring my wheel lip snugg to my fender??? I own a 97 240. Offset of the rims are getting + 30, so i plan on putting spacers to achieve this combination. Or should i go with ( fronts + 20 rears + 15) ????? I was planning to have my rear tires stick out more than my fronts or is this bad???

you own an S14, go with wider wheels. I'd personally go with 17x9 all around, possibly wider in the rear.

wow, you obviously don't like traction. get some real tires man, not those skinny little girly things. stretched tires == gaaay.

17x9 = 255-265 width at least

17x10 = 275-285 width at least

I don't think my car has the power to spin anything higher than 245. I only have exhaust intake and L.S.D. Thats it. I want to be able to kick it out. i don' think i can do that with those big tires .

BAH!!!

17x9.5 255/40/17 Kumho MX's on the back....

KA24DE with intake and exhaust could sometimes chirp 2nd if I shifted right. As far as kicking the rear end out, no problem. Is it easier to do with narrow tire, yes...will you get better at doooorifftoo if you use larger sticker tires...yes.

KA24DE with 5.7psi.....a nice hard 2nd gear pull and the rear end is sliding all over :cool: as far as kicking the rear end out now...yowzers!!!

Can't wait for I/C & 7psi!!!

So i will be able to kick it out with 245's in the rear???? so should i go with 225 in the front or 235 .How big should my spaers be???? If i want my fronts tires to be flush with my fender? And my rears kinda sticking out a little bit more

You ever at any of the meets? Take a look at someones to get a feel for what offsets look like.

With my 8.5" +30 up front I could probably go to about +25 and I might rub a little...but +30 on a 8.5" works for me. I have about a half inch of clearance between tire and damper.

With my 9.5" +35 on the back I could probably go to +30 and I might rub a little...but works for me. There is like 3 inchs of clearance between the damper and tire in the back. I bet you could put a 12" in the rear of a S14 without any mods.

I never wanted to worry about rubbing or rolling my fenders. They are a lot more pushed out then stock, do they stick out, no, but I get just enough people saying 'they like', that keeps me happy.

If you run a skinnier wheel then you will have to up the offsets to get them to be flusher. More like +0 to +25

NOT kicking out the rear end is hard to do with ANY tire if you have a good clutch and some skills. Its not all about power....does 500hp help....well duh...but 100 is plenty.

17x9+15 fits well as along as 17x10+25 (225/45, 235/40)

thats my old set up

people think thats extreme, but my coilovers need 20offset to clear the front

Doug,
