Ok, I am in a rut...
I had the Apexi N1 and have swapped it out for the GT spec. Now the muffler is resting on the rear bumper support and I am getting noise everywhere. Has anyone ever removed the bumper support on an s14? I am either going to do that or bang the hell out of it with a sledgehammer. Can anyone help with this dilemma?

Well, my mantra when working on cars has always been "hit it with a hammer"
with that in mind... ;)

well u told me to do that when my s14's fuel gauge went out, now i have a buncha dents in the door to my fuel pump stuff. hah. ill fwd this msg to some of my s14 buddies out in san diego. I bet they ran across your sound problem before because a lot of them use the apex GT. In addition to that, we have mr. doug here in town who should be able to help you since i believe he also owns the same exhaust system.

Doesn't jamie's problem stem from the OBX manifold moving the entire turbo assembly back a few inches?
FWIW, I'm probably going to switch back to a ported stock manifold with an external gate welded on to the top when I upgrade the turbo. I'd rather run an external gate, and can't come up with a decent way to add one to the tubular manifolds short of adding it on to one of the runners (i'd rather it at the collector, but we'll see).
Here's a thread with an installed GT25R, external gate, etc...

The rear bumper looks fairly easy to remove.
10 steps according to the FSM.
Nothing that requiers a lift or anything.
Lots of plastic clips that WILL break for sure.
