hi guys...im sure u all know how rough with my suspension i am...but i will say the D2 dampers are quite nice...if youre looking for a REALLY good drifting/autoX setup then i deffinatly recommend these dampers...im running a 9/7 spring rate at the moment and it has eliminated 80% of my body roll...dampning rates are very easily adjusted (done from the top of the damper with a small tuning wrench)...heigh adjustability is simple...take the damper off...turn the bottom 2 perches...move the lower mount up and ur done (you can adjust the spring perches but its not recommended to do this as you will have TONS of spring travel)...the dampers are a bit noisey (as they springs move around a bit) however this is common with ALL damper setups...im am a local dealer for D2 suspension parts now so if you would like to order a set lemme know...also if you wanna see how stiff they are come grab me at one of the LVMS drift events and ill give u a run around the course

Ditto everything lennon said.
I'm running the 9/7 combo on my car too and I'll admit, they are a bit harsh for the street. I'd suggest that for most people looking for a street setup that can also handle drifting/grip/auto-x/whatever, go with the 7/5's. I'm planning on getting a pair of 5kg springs so that I can run 7/5 daily and switch to 9/7 when there's a driving event coming up.
Also, the offer of a ride-along applies with me too, just hop into my car at any auto-x or grip event :)
James can testify as to how they handle since he rode in my car a few times at the auto-x last night.

don't mean to crap on your thread but you can get Mookeehs with tein camber plates for like $750 to your door. also a buddy of mine has Ksport coilovers for an s13 he needs to get rid of. $725 i think. if you are interested about the Ksport PM me.

K-Sports are the SAME coilover system...theyre made by D2...the ONLY difference is the colour of the casings and springs...good luck getting D2s or K-Sports below $850 (shipped with plates and pillowball) outside of a group buy (or used)...lol...mookeehs are POS's

how do you know mookeehs are POS? my friend who has years of track and amateur rally experience absolutely loves them. The mookeehs has been on his s14 for about 3-4 months now. those coilovers have seen more track events then i have figures and i'm not talking about autox either (which he and i do once a month) but on a actual road course. This guy has more track experience then anyone on AZ240SX.org and i bet he can out drive most people you meet on the street with his POS mookeehs. honestly i think you should really stop spreading misinformation.
also the Ksport i was talking about are BRAND NEW. he bought them for his project s13 but ended up selling the car so he is getting rid of the coilover.

uh oh, I see a little 2v1 battle going on here. I just wanna' say, we can hear what people say about one another's suspension system, but the best bet and to really put down a good opinion is if the person has driven both. Otherwise, you can't LITERALLY say that they're good or bad, it depends on YOU. not them. I'm in the market for awesome coils at a great price, and so far those D2s are really appealing to me a lot because i've rode in them before and seen them perform. but before anyone should buy or talk sh*t about anything, they should really try the things out before they flame the entire idea of getting them.
this is making me dizzy.

i can vouch for the mookeehs because Brady and I do a lot of events together and i've been in his car on road courses. his mookeehs feel similar to my tein flex even on an s14 SE with full interior. i drive an base model s13 coupe gutted with minor weight reduction in case anyone is wondering.

1) I don't give a fuck...have I ever called myself a drifter? Come out to willow springs in a few weeks and we'll see who can actually drive
2) BALLS challenge - let's really see who's got the best car/driver setup - see here for details: http://www.sccaforums.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/37/1738
3) "senpai" - what the fuck does that mean? Last I checked we're in america, and we speak english.

umm not ALL coilovers have looses springs lennon. my jics have no play at all in the springs and no they are no preloaded to all hell either. i run 8/8 all around and its been my favorite setup. all my jic parts are available stateside as well. and the mookeehs have been so far proven a good coilover. like champa said brady loves them and he does so much track events. there are a lot more people running them and so far ive only heard good things.
