Background: s13 blacktop in a 91 240sx. Freshly installed, never driven. Apexi AFC, rb25 maf

Two problems.
Without the maf: The engine tries to start, drops to 200 rpm, and then catchs when I press the gas. It will idle at 850 for about a minute, and then dies unless I keep my foot on the gas. What could be causing this?

-I have taken the intake manifold off and am looking at the aav. How
can you check if it is ok?

With the maf: Car will not idle. I know this is a maf problem. I have searched and havent found any specifc info on afc settings, besides that the rb25 maf is similar to the z32 maf. I have 3 volts coming in to the maf.

-What is the rb25 maf resistance supposed to be?
-Apexi AFC settings for the rb25 maf would be super.

Everyone is excited over the coolant temp sensor because the ECU relies pretty heavily on it for fueling information. When I see a fueling problem I generally check MAF first, followed immediately by CLT sensor.

That all said, sounds to me like you've got the AFC hotwire values (IN/OUT values) configured wrong.

that was the same thing wrong with my car when I bought it, mess around with your hotwire settings until it will hold and idle then check everything over under the hood.

This is where I am at so far. I am going to take the harness plug apart tonight.

I have already replaced the two pin coolant temp sensor. Can a one pin engine temp sensor from a sentra replace the one in the sr20?

I thought that output 6 was for an s14 sr20? Atleast that is what the Apexi manual leads me to believe. What would it be for an s13 sr20?

Does anyone have a spare maf and plug I could borrow to troubleshoot?
