Well, www.speedventures.net is running two events during the month of July @ Streets of Willow Springs in Rosamond, CA. It's about a 4 hour drive from vegas give or take.
Streets of Willow is a great road course to learn on, the turns are relatively low speed (35-70mph), and there's plenty of run-off room.
Events are being run July 10th/11th and July 24th/25th. Cost is $110 for one day or $200 for 2 days, with a $30/day instructor fee if you're a "beginner" to running with them.
I'll be going to one (possibly both if $$ allows), probably just for a day each event. If anyone is interested in coming (Either to drive, or to watch/ride-along) just let me know. Having someone (or a group) to split gas/hotel with would be a plus.
Plan for either event is to drive out friday afternoon, stay in a hotel that night, drive @ the event on saturday, then come home that night.
