my name is keri and i'm from hawaii

i don't own a 240sx nor do i have a clue
about cars in general :unsure:

but i have become intrigued with 240's
lately and i want to learn anything and
about this car since it seems to be the
best thing that has ever happened in
my boys' life :P

so help a sister out and educate her with
all this 240sx goodness. i got nothing but
love for all you 240sx people. sending a
lot of aloha from hawaii... :wub:

Sup hurleygirl, Dis Amando a.k.a. dOh :P and anything to help a sistah out, I'm from hawaii too born and raise in kalihi valley in oahu, but now in Vegas. here are some info about 240sx that may help... ;)

1ST There are a couple of different types of 240sx also called SILVIAs.
The late 80's and early 90's models were called S13, and there were a couple of different ones,S13 fastback (http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/3/web/579000-579999/579062_1_full.jpg)<-this is what i have, then S13 coupe (http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/1/web/157000-157999/157372_84_full.jpg) and the S13 silvia (http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/5/web/365000-365999/365132_1.jpg) they also made a convertable. Next generation was the S14 (http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/6/web/390000-390999/390316_94.jpg) and the S15 (http://www.fast-autos.net/nissan/silvia.jpg) but this modeal was never brought to the U.S.

2ND The most sought out engine for drifting in a 240sx is the SR20DET or SR20 engine (http://www.sr20detinfo.com/sr20det-rwd.jpg), but this engine was never inside an 240sx for the U.S. so to get it, you would have too speacial order it. 2 types black and red top, I prefer the red top (always was a sucker for a red head :P )

3RD The 240sx are all FR (F=front-engine R=rear-wheel drive) ideal for drifting.

Here are also a couple of ways to learn more about 240sx and drifting... you can buy dvds (exp GRIP VIDEO (these guys are from hawaii too), 360 VIDEO, and INITIAL D). Books and Mags exp OPTION2 and some SUPERSTREET or by going to the events, they have it in hawaii and its called DRIFT SESSION check it out and D1 grand prix they had events in CALI sometimes and D1 are the proffessional drifters. And another way that might impress him if you were to understand and have the knowledge of oversteering, understeering, weight transfer, and the different types of drifting.

Hope this kinda help :cool: but anyways I'm glad to see more girls are getting into drifting, cause believe or not we have a couple of girl drifters here in the states and some of them are really GOOD

i'd junk my car but i love driving my SUV's right

i've lived in hawaii for the past 20 years of
my life and i've never even tried oxtail soup
nor do i want to. if you want good hawaiian
food you need to go to a luau. not one with
the hula dancers and all that fake bullcrap,
but a real, hawaiian pa`ina. you MUST try
kalua pig, poke, lomi salmon, poi.............
the works! it is ono. and spam musubi is a
piece of spam with some rice wrapped up
in some nori. that's about it. nothing toooo
spectacular, but it's good stuff. :D
